Families First Guildford is the coordination of Early Help services within the borough of Guildford. Guildford Nursery School leads Families First Guildford.
Guildford Family Centre sits within Families First Guildford and provides 1:1 targeted support for families. It also provides and coordinates some support for families with emerging needs.
The family centre team work across the borough of Guildford, helping families with children up to age 18 (or 25 for those young people with additional needs).
Our vision is for every child to have the best start in life.
To deliver on this vision we aim to coordinate a greater joined up provision within Guildford borough. We will develop a strategic board to ensure early help services are meeting the diverse needs of the community. We hope all professionals will sign up to a professional promise and pledge to offer the right support at the right time to families.
Children and families with emerging needs are best supported by those who already work with them and know them, such as their school or setting. Families First Guildford will support the upskilling of practitioners working with children and families.
