One-to-one Family Support

Meeting your Family Support Worker

Your Family Support Worker is here to listen to your concerns and hear how you would like things to change. They’ll also help you identify your strengths and how you might build on these to make your family stronger and your life better. This information will inform an Early Help Assessment to find out the best support for you.

Your Family Support Worker can meet you in your home or another venue convenient to you.

Meeting your team around the family

Sometimes several agencies work together to provide you with the right level of support. In this instance, your Family Support Worker will set up a meeting between you all, forming a ‘team around the family’ (TAF). You may have worked with some of these services in the past, and new ones may also be invited to provide different expertise and resources.

Regular meetings

Your Family Support Worker will meet regularly with you and your family – including your children. They help you set goals, create an action plan and actively involve you in all decisions.

What's expected from me and my family?

We want to understand what’s important for you and your family, so work with you to create an action plan. This sets out where you are now, what you are aiming for and the support we can offer you and your family.
